Frenship FFA was well represented at all the Texas Major Stock Shows by some outstanding Junior and Senior FFA Members.

Earlier this month all three Frenship ISD middle school bands competed in the UIL Concert and Sightreading competitions. Both the Gold band and Blue band from each campus achieved the impressive Sweepstakes award, receiving top rankings for both categories of the competition.

Earlier this week, the 21-member Superintendent’s Student Advisory Board met to create blankets that they will donate to Lubbock’s University Medical Center to be used by patients in the Cancer Center.

“Hunger is a true issue across our community and by providing food boxes we can ensure that less people go to bed at night hungry.”

After competing in the Virtual Regional National History Day competition, four middle school students are advancing to the state-level contest despite the fact that this is the first year seventh graders from Frenship have competed in this competition.

After four months of rehearsals and practice, TVMS One Act Play performed “Oz” by Don Zolidis last Saturday. Out of seven other middle schools, Terra Vista won first place, as well as several individual awards for outstanding cast members.

Despite the challenges of the pandemic, Frenship ISD staff members are still finding ways to continue growing as educational leaders through meaningful professional development training. This week, administrators, instructional coaches and content coordinators tuned in virtually to the NWEA MAP Users Conference to learn new techniques to use in the classrooms.

The Frenship ISD Communications Department and Frenship.TV earned five gold awards and a "Best of Category" award for their work on Frenship ISD communications projects.
