While serving as an 8th grade NJHS member it is important to keep these things in mind:
- You must have 15 community service hours each semester
- Participation in Pre-AP classes and extra-curricular activities can earn you additional community service hours each semester
- Participation in NJHS can earn you 1 community service hour, unless otherwise stated for special NJHS projects (where you can earn more)
- You cannot serve any full days in ISS while a member of NJHS
- As a member of NJHS, you must maintain an average of 90 in all on-level classes and an 85 in all Honors classes
- Participation in NJHS is expected and appreciated
7th graders at FMS who have maintained a 90 average in on-level classes and an 85 in Honors classes can be invited to serve in NJHS at the end of their 7th grade year.
