Hi!! I am very excited to be teaching 8th grade Science this year. This is my 22nd year to be teaching with 10 years in Lubbock and the last 11 years as a Frenship Tiger:):) I graduated from Texas Tech University with a B. S. degree in Animal Science and then obtained my Master's Degree in Multidisciplinary Sciences at Texas Tech in 2008. My passion is teaching Science and seeing my students learn and succeed. I am currently the FMS Science Department Head and a sponsor of the FMS Student Council.
I have three wonderful children--Kevin, Matthew, and Meagan. Kevin is married to my beautiful daughter-in-law Dabnee'. I have one adorable granddaughter Kassidy and another granddaughter on her way in late August. Kevin was in the Air Force and was honorably discharged a couple of years ago. He is now pursuing a Wind Energy degree at Texas Tech University and will graduate in May 2020. Matthew is currently pursuing a Visual and Performing Arts degree at Texas Tech University and will graduate in May 2020. My youngest, Meagan, is a Senior at FHS and loves tap dance.
In July of 2008, I won the AT&T Foundation Excellence in Teaching Award and then in March of 2013, I won the Beaumont Foundation's Newton Excellence in Education Award
