A Colorado native, Alvarado moved to the Lubbock area to earn a master’s degree in administration from Wayland Baptist University. West Texas quickly became her home and where she began her educational career as a teacher. Throughout her 16 years in education, she has taught at various schools across Lubbock and served in many roles including elementary teacher, instructional coach, assistant principal, and most recently the principal of Maedgen Elementary.
Starting in the 2024-2025 school year, Alvarado will take on the new role as the Frenship Middle School Principal.
“I am beyond excited to be a part of the Frenship ISD family and embark on this new adventure as a middle school principal. I am looking forward to meeting all the students and families at Frenship Middle School,” said Alvarado. “Frenship Middle School has such a rich history, and I look forward to working closely with the district and campus leadership teams to ensure a smooth transition process. I will also do everything in my power to support the staff, students, and families at Frenship Middle School.”
While this will be Alvarado’s first year to serve the families of Frenship ISD, her family already has strong ties to Frenship. Alvarado and her husband Domingo have been married for 21 years and have four children, including their two youngest children who are proud Frenship Tigers at the Ninth Grade Center and Heritage Middle School.
