The Frenship High School drumline, color guard, drum majors, and twirlers all competed in performance events with several awards to reflect their hard work.
Frenship High School Band Director, Scott Carter, feels overwhelmed with gratitude after the West Texas Auxiliary Championship.
“It is really special to see the legacy that these students continue to leave as members of the Frenship Band. This particular event has been won by many great Frenship students over the past 25 years. Knowing that they stand on the shoulders of others, it’s rewarding to see them achieve the Grand Championship and add to the legacy,” said Carter.

“I am so proud of their efforts. It is rare for an organization to continue a legacy of success at a single event for 25 years. They put in lots of extra time to prepare for this event, and it certainly paid off,” said Carter. “We have incredible staff and technicians who lead these auxiliary units and prepare them for success. A huge thanks to Aaron Perez (drumline), Amanda Knight (guard), and Amada Tolley (twirlers) for leading the way. Thank you to all who have been a part of the journey.”
Up next, the Frenship Tiger Band is competing in the Bands of America Contest on Saturday, September 30 in Midland, TX. Best of luck, Tigers!
