The secondary art program provides a variety of opportunities for the developing art student and prepares them for university study or careers in an art-related field. Course offerings include: Art, Art History, Drawing, Ceramics, Painting, and Photography coursework. The High School program offers a multitude of advanced tools, software, resources, materials, and experience necessary to compete, display and appreciate art. All students are given the opportunity to participate in the annual district-wide Fine Arts Showcase. 

 

 

Students will learn about different artists, media, and techniques and how to apply them to their own works of art through drawing, painting, sculpting, printmaking, and fibers. Many student projects are displayed at various art expositions throughout the community and may be entered in competitions. Top art students may enroll in Honors Art with instructor's approval.
