Greetings! I teach 7th grade Texas History and 8th grade United States History.  This is my 13th year in education and my fourth year at Frenship Middle School. I love being part of the Frenship family.  My oldest daughter graduated as the Frenship High School valedictorian in 2022, and my youngest daughter will be a junior at FHS this year. 

 

I'm from West Texas, graduating from Angelo State with a bachelor's degree in journalism and a minor in government. I went on to pursue a master's degree in communication (also from ASU), and my two favorite jobs after college were positions I held as a newspaper reporter in San Angelo and as a distance learning program coordinator for the Whitacre College of Engineering at Texas Tech. 

 

I've always been drawn to education, and I decided to go back to school to become a teacher. I have a master's degree in curriculum and instruction, and in addition to teaching middle school social studies, I've taught reading and language arts at the 4th, 7th, and 8th grade levels.
