  • Yearbook Design (Digital)

    This course is designed for highly motivated, independent and creative individuals who wish to create and design the school yearbook. Students must meet strict deadlines and work before, during, and after school. Students should also have strong writing skills. Students will learn about page layout, photography selection, caption and copy writing, and more as they create each individual page of the yearbook using publication design software. All work is computer generated. Application Required.

  • Theater Arts

    This course offers students the opprotunity to study plays and other dramatic productions. Some topics that will be taught are the history of drama, acting, lighting, scenery, make-up and costume design.

  • Spanish 1 (high school credit)

    Spanish 1 is an introduction to the Spanish-speaking world, its languages, and its people. Emphasis is placed on the early oral communication skills while developing listening, reading, and writing skills of a second language. This course requires the student to be disciplined, with a commitment to additional study time outside the school day.

    Multi Media 7th and 8th is a fun class where students learn various computer programs and applications. It is a project based class. Students will make movies, use power point to create animation and other projects.

    This is a course that focuses on each students needs and guides the students to pursuing a career based on their individual talents and interests. The course addresses current career trends and discusses a variety of career and educational options.

  • Broadcast Media I & II

    Introduction to Media Literacy, which produces TigerVision News, is a course for students interested in television broadcasting. We create a weekly newscast that airs live throughout Frenship Middle School. Students will have the opportunity to learn camera techniques, audio, graphics, editing, lighting, interviewing, reporting, script writing, anchoring, producing and directing. Students will also explore commercials, video production, and advertising.

    Every seventh grade student must be enrolled in either Physical Education or a Competitive Sports class.
